The key component in any hydraulic system is its pump or pumps. Certified Power Solutions stocks three types of hydraulic pumps: gear, piston and vane. From open- and closed-circuit pumps or electronic and hydraulic torque limiting pumps, to electronic displacement control pumps or load-sensing pumps, we can provide you a pump that meets your performance requirements. CPS carries pumps ranging from .25 in3/rev to over 18 in3/rev and larger.

Hydraulic Gear Pump

Gear pumps

A gear pump is a fixed displacement pump with two identical gears: one gear is driven from an engine or electric motor input and the other is an idler gear. The output flow is proportional to its input speed on the drive gear. Gear pumps are compact and simple with less moving parts than other styles of pumps and are generally not rated for applications above 3,500 psi. The pumps excel at pumping oils and higher viscosity fluid.

We stock aluminum or cast iron gear pumps rated for various flows and pressures. Look to CPS for the right hydraulic pump for your application.

Hydraulic Piston Pumps

Piston pumps

Piston pumps are variable displacement pumps and use a series of pistons riding on a swashplate. The pump displacement is determined by varying the angle of the swashplate and the bore of the pistons. Piston pumps are designed with an odd number of pistons to deliver high performance and the highest efficiencies in both open- and closed-loop applications. Despite their compact size, hydraulic piston pumps provide the highest power density ratio and are well-suited for demanding applications.

Hydraulic Vane Pump

Vane pumps

If you’re looking for a hydraulic pump that offers fixed or variable displacement, a vane pump could be what your application needs. Vane pumps have speed and pressure parameters ranging from 3 gpm to 70+ gpm and up to 3,000 psi. These hydraulic pumps are commonly used for industrial in-plant use and mobile equipment.
